Dr. Emery, a pioneer in the field of applied intuition, is a psychologist, consultant, college lecturer, and author whose expertise has been brought to bear in both private clinical practice and in her client-tailored Intuition Seminars – reaching thousands of men and women nationally and internationally. Among Dr. Emery’s clients were such corporate giants as ATT, Amway Corporation, Blue Care Network, and Hewlett Packard, as well as nonprofits, including The Junior League (New York), Metropolitan Hospital (Grand Rapids, Michigan ), Wainwright House (Rye, New York ) and Unity Church (Columbus, Ohio: Palo Alto and Berkeley, California.)

Teaching across diverse sectors—clinical, academic, corporate, and institutional—has afforded Dr. Emery rare insights into using intuition to facilitate personal growth and transformation. Her mission is to bring the means and methodologies for harnessing this power to as many people as possible for their personal and professional illumination.

In her commitment to this vision, Dr. Emery’s writings helped fuel the growing national interest in intuition. She is the author of Dr. Marcia Emery's Intuition Workbook: An Expert's Guide To Unlocking the Wisdom of Your Subconscious Mind (Prentice Hall,1994) was deemed "a classic in the field." The Intuitive Healer: Accessing Your Inner Physician, (St. Martins Press,1999), includes a foreword by renowned medical intuitive Caroline Myss, and Dr. Emery's third book, Powerhunch! Living An Intuitive Life (Beyond Works, 2001), boasts a foreword by noted futurist Leeland Kaiser.

Dr. Marcia has been interviewed by USA Today, Health Magazine, Woman’s World, Redbook, Cosmopolitan, Fitness Magazine, Family Circle, Newsweek and United Airlines’ Hemisphere magazine, seen on CBS, NBC and PBS — joining luminaries such as Jane Seymour, Gary Zukav, Jeffrey Mishlove and Georgia Shakti-Hill — and has been a presence on radio programs nationwide.

In 1984, at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Emery pioneered the first-of-its-kind college course in “whole brain thinking”—targeting Master of Management candidates from leading international corporations, government, and small business—thereby launching the first wave of decision-makers formally trained in intuition technology. She is an Assistant Professor in the certification program at the Springfield, Missouri-based Scientific Medical Intuition degree program co-founded by Dr. Caroline Myss, and Dr. Norman Shealy. Dr. Emery is also a faculty at the Holmes Institute's Graduate School of Consciousness Studies; and the University of Philosophical Studies Consciousness degree program, both in Los Angeles and the University of Energy Medicine in Sausalito, CA.

Dr. Emery's work has twice garnered grants from Minnesota-based Life Science Foundation—in 1997, to establish a worldwide network of local intuition study groups under the name INREACHING and, in 1991, to facilitate research on the use of intuition among leading business executives.

Marcia was one of the three experts on the groundbreaking three hour miniseries, “Dream Decoders” which was aired on The Discovery Health Channel. She is a former board member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams and hosted the 2005 annual conference in Berkeley, CA.
